The Port of Eten confirmed the start of a large-scale expansion project that will introduce modern logistics facilities, digital tracking systems, and sustainable energy solutions.

According to port officials, this initiative will:

• Increase cargo capacity by 35%
• Reduce customs clearance times through automation
• Generate over 2,000 local jobs during construction and operations

“This project is not only about infrastructure,” said project director Ana Rodríguez. “It’s about connecting Peru more efficiently with global markets while ensuring sustainable growth.”

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and is expected to be completed within two years.
